Groundworks and Swimming Pool at the new leisure centre in Dartford
The Beacontree Heath Leisure centre in Dagenham is being developed and will now house a 680m2 swimming pool as well as a learners pool.
The works include the groundworks and swimming pool construction for the new steel framed building.
Due to an extremely high water table, the swimming pool is to be constructed within a cofferdam which has been designed and built by Toureen Mangan. Whilst working in the excavation, it will require dewatering in grounds that are highly contaminated by hydrocarbons.
