Toureen Mangan prides itself on its high levels of health and safety and understands the importance of integrating and working closely with site teams to ensure a safe working environment for everyone concerned.
As such our approach to health safety and the environment is structured and continually evaluated in the following ways:
We have a dedicated Health and Safety Manager and a Quality Manager who are responsible for communicating, auditing and monitoring health, safety and environmental performance reporting back to the Board of Directors
We accept regular external auditing by specialist safety consultants
We hold regular health and safety consultations with the safety representatives and the workforce to develop and encourage a positive attitude towards health and safety and the environment
All our employees hold relevant certificates for plant and machinery and are CPCS and CSCS cardholders. We currently hold a C Skills Gold award in commitment to CSCS and CPCS training
All Management and Supervisors hold either the five day Site Managers Training Scheme qualification or the two day Safety Supervisor Training Scheme which is CITB accredited
All employees are trained and inducted in Health and Safety issues including specific site induction and training and training for office based employees
We are members of the Construction Health and Safety Group (CHSG), the British Safety Council and ROSPA, recently achieving the Gold Standard Award
The company will be accredited with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and OSHAS 18001 by the end of June 2010
We comply with all legal and regulatory requirements as dictated by the HSC
