Toureen Wins Prestigiouos RoSPA Health and Safety Award

Toureen Contractors Limited is celebrating winning one of the prestigious RoSPA Occupational Health & Safety Awards in 2008.

The Silver Award will be presented at a ceremony at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole Hotel, National Exhibition Centre, on Wednesday, 14 May, alongside Safety & Health Expo 2008, the UK’s premier health and safety at work exhibition. David Rawlins, RoSPA Awards Manager, said: “Toureen Contractors Limited has shown a commitment to protecting the health and well-being of its employees and others. We hope other businesses and organizations will follow its lead and strive for continuous improvement in health and safety management.” Scott Carr, Toureen Contractors Ltd Health & Safety Manager said: “We are delighted with the award from RoSPA, it is tangible evidence to our clients that we do take the health and safety of our employees and those who work around us very very seriously, this is just the start of a continuous programme of health and safety improvements, which we hope will reduce the incidents and accidents on all sites, and ensure that everyone goes home at the end of their working day safe and well”. The RoSPA Awards are not just about reducing the number of accidents and cases of ill health at work; they help to ensure that organizations have good health and safety management systems in place. Entering the awards scheme reinforces the message that good health and safety is good business and clearly demonstrates an organisation’s dedication to the achievement of high levels of performance in this crucial area. The RoSPA Occupational Health and Safety Awards 2008 are sponsored by NEBOSH, the leading health and safety professional examining body.”
