The Toureen Group was awarded the CHAS accreditation in December 2008.
The CHAS accreditation (Contractors Health and Safety Assessment Scheme) was developed by Local Authority Health and Safety professionals with the support of the Health and Safety Executive. The ideology of the CHAS scheme is to eradicate duplication of completing health and safety assessment forms and have one generic compliance scheme.
The CHAS scheme allows private and public sector businesses to view our safety credentials online and utilize as a shortlisting tool for inviting organizations to tender for projects.
CHAS is a highly recognized endorsement in the Construction industry with their assessment ensuring that companies are compliant with basic health and safety legislation. The accreditation is difficult to achieve, with four out of five small and medium size companies failing in their first attempt for assessment.
